i used two things in the begining : 1-kno3 ,it,s saltpeter founded in garden shops . 2-confectioner,s sugar founded enywhere :D

OMG! I can't believe he is cooking black powder on the stove indoors. You should really get a hotplate and do it outdoors, but it is syill going to flash in your face one of these days. You would be better off only partially drying it with heat. Then let it dry naturally or get a food dehydrator if you are in a rush. Pounding it in a steel mortar and pestle isn't the smoothest idea either. Use wood or ceramic. When testing it I hope you are doing it away from the main stash. Try those techniques with flash powder and your dead. Just some tips. I know how to make flash with easy to get chems, hit me up.

just drop the sugar, it makes the BP burn slower.
it works better with 20g coal and 80g Kno3.

srry - shouldnt be crap powder, in fact its pretty good.

This powder is called green powder, suitable for fuse and some rockets. To make real powder for firecrackers, the kno3 and charcoal needs to be ball milled. For better results, use 25% isopropyl alcohol and 75% water in the pan. However, this is the best vid on green powder have ever seen. Also use airfloat(really powdered) charcoal.

i tried this at home it works very well but when u cook it to let the water evaporize you need too look out because when your mixture gets too hot it will start to burn thats what happened by me soo DON'T do this IN home its better to let it dry for a few days thats safer
