    Sorry, true thermite would have been unbearable to look at and would have screwed up the video on you camera. Adding the plastic gave a MILD catalyst to start the reaction but there are two LIQUID chemicals that when mixed bring out thermites true potential. Adding impurities like plastic reduce the effectiveness substantially. Pretty awesome though.

    thats not plastic thermite its thermite you added to a mixture and shaped secondly that sucked if it was real thermite it would have completely melted that soda can in an instant and probably some if the concreat

      this isn't real thermite he never said it was.
      it was made out of lacquer, pingpong balls and acetone... real thermite is made with Fe2o3 and Al2o3 (rust and aluminum)
      the reason it melts stuff is the energy given off in the reaction melts the iron(around 2800 degrees f) eating thru pretty much anything
