    Hey I stay in a hostel and the router is 5 rooms away. Plus there is a brick wall in between my laptop and the router. Can I use this antenna to boost my signal ? where should I position it? Please help... :(

    I've been using these for a while, saw them in another video, and they absolutely work great. Even on PS3's crappy Wifi card, I was getting 40-50 signal as soon as I put these on 60-70 signal. Thanks anyways.. Oh and D-Link Routers don't work very well with these, in-fact these may even DROP your D-Link signal. Thats why I got a Linksys.

    My 2Wire Router Modem doesn't have the antenna. So what should i do? Just place the foil next to it? Does the foil surface need to be pointing to the LAPTOP location for this to work?

      Just place the reflector behind/next to the router.

      It will work if you point it somewhere else, but the closer to the laptop, the better signal.

      Well you cant just wrap foil around the router, you have to make a base for it, like shown in the video. Then you can tape it to the back of the router facing towards a laptop, or the place you want more signal.

      Aluminum Foil Food-Container and place behind my router. It has base and it is foil. But i didn't see any change. You know why?

      The signal might be trapped inside. I really suggest using whats used in the video, its simple to make. The curve of the booster in the video aims the signal, the food container just traps it.
