  • Great idea

i think its a simple but great idea for a leyden jar, i especially like the warning at the end about not charging it more than 10 times xD

  • Why would you even spend 5$ for this

what is the point.. i get more power from an electric lighter starter for less the 99 cents

Reyarteb, this is obvioulsy not a pratical capacitor. There are capacitors the size of the tip of your pinky that can store a much larger charge. This is a proof of concept to demonstrate the effect of energy potential in the form of 2 conductive plates seperated by an insulator. a very simple capacitor.

    • It's a demo

This is to show how a capacitor works, not specifically for making sparks. It's a cool science project for kids, nothing more!
