This men's Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, model number 274.2.85, is a gently pre-owned watch. It is in very good condition as evidence of the close-up pictures of the actual watch. There are no major signs of wear on the case or dial. The strap is worn but still fully functional. All of the features work perfectly and the watch is guaranteed 100% authentic.
The case, crown, and attached back plate are made from a solid and beautiful 18k rose gold. The case measures 32mm wide without the crown (34mm with the crown) x 52mm with the lugs x 11mm in thickness. It protects a manual mechanical movement. A black leather strap is featured with the watch and uses an 18K yellow gold butterfly clasp to keep the watch on the wearers wrist. It can fit a wrist up to 7.5 inches.
The case is reversible and allows the wearer to choose between two dials. One can easily transition from one dial to another thanks to a sliding system. It is not necessary to take the watch apart to reverse the dial.
One dial is textured white with black numeric hour markers and smaller black lined minute markers. Blue hour and minute hands point to the time indicators. A subsidiary seconds is located at 6 o'clock while an extended date window is featured at 12 o'clock.
The other dial is black and features luminescent numeric and lined hour markers with smaller luminescent lined minute markers. Gold toned and luminescent hour and minute hands point to the time indicators. A 24 hour am/pm indicator is featured at 6 o'clock and uses the same hand and marker setup as the main display.
Ever since 1833, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been working and innovating in the founders original workshops. In 1844 it is believed that the founder created watch components so flawless that no measuring tool of his era could measure inaccuracies. He therefore invented his own tool to do so, the Millonometer. In 1929 the company again set the bar even higher, which was hard to do during the Great Depression. However, the company invented the world's smallest watch movement that has still not been matched to this date. The more modern Reverso Collection is proof that the company has not stop innovating.
