    why do people keep posting this as an easter egg.....it's not.
    Telnet is a program to connect other machines in a text only manner to reach data. It was very popular years ago. It's advanced versions are still being used by most of the Linux/Unix users. The command connects to the given address and displays what the server sends you. In this case, the server sends you a text version of Star Wars. So this is neither an egg, nor it's related to Windows.
    It will work on any computer, running any operating system; however, it will only work if the computer is connected to the Internet. Try unplugging the internet connection and type in the information...you'll get nothing.
