if you upped the electricity, reverced the circuts so it pushes, and turn it into a gun thing, you could shoot metal things far!

  You will need more coils in parallel, more power and precise timing to turn on the coils one by one.

- Its easy...
  all that is needed is optical sensors that are inbetween each set of coils
  as the object passes thru the sensors it turns on the coil before pushes it foward and into the next sensor
  He could fling a razor blade across a classroom with one he built and it would actually stick in the wall !!!
