    and correct me if I'm wrong but that beam is invisible to the naked eye. you're seeing it here because the video camera used is able to pick up infrared light.

      Half correct ;-D. Its near-IR light at 808nm, so you actually can see it as a VERY faint red. However, most cameras are hyper-sensitive to IR wavelengths and just show up as a big white blue/purpleish splotch like in this video.

      That depends on the individual's eye. If you can see IR you're quite fortunate. Different people's eyes have sensitivity to different wavelengths of light. I wouldn't be surprised if we come across a human who can't see 808nm hehehehhee
