Pythagorean theorem grade 5-9
Also will do requests for anything math grades 5-11
I actually did use this in real life. I was constructed a deck and I wanted it 90 degrees to the house. Measure from where you want the deck to 3' along the house. Then measure again from where you want the to meet the house out 4'. Next measeure the hypotenuse so that it is 5' long. This way you form a very accurate 90 degree angle off of the house.
Thanks for asking :-)
I do remember teaching this when I had a grade 5 class. I know that many students need a reminder by grade 8

By m3talh3adbang3r 1199924147 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removein the description you said that this theorem is for the 8 or 9 grade but i am from romania(europe) and i knew this theorem since the 5 or 6 grade , can't remember exactly , now i am in the 11 grade .
so , what's up with that ?
i didn't mean to brag . i simply said that in my country we learn this stuff at school when we are a lot more younger .
also, you can't use this formula in daily life :-s , it's plain rubish . that's why i hate school so bad . >:p
should not hate school? i use this often, it is how the concrete slab for my house was measured as well as confirming the square of my house.

By Rotupmoc 1199924481 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIf It can called a theorem so I think in my country .... All are Dr or Ph.D because we did it when we was at 7th grade ..so funny.
it can be proved too easily
wow... the description says 5th through 9th grade.. what is your point? maybe you arent as smart as you think?
By jaxplane2 1199987338 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveConsidering Pythagoras derived this around 550 BC. it's not bad. It's strange that this is what he is famous for considering all the other things he started...
By thisismetoo 1199974184 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removederive this theory.
It was used long before he PROVED it.
