  • great approach, all the steps

could you please add the link to your site to the profile. And edit the video to get to the point twice as fast, say 3 minutes?

    • Website added

Thanks for the suggestion. I think I've added the link to the website. On the website, I also cover topics on how to setup your PC to build Wii-like mini games. Enjoy.

    • Thanks for the link

breadboard is a great idea, but i can also solder, worked in electronics manufacturing and repair as a student.

    • Breadboard

Sure. For someone who can solder, this is a piece of cake. I only used the breadboard so I could make a sensor bar on video. :). I actually didn't include it in my essential component list in the beginning. Love to see the one you build. :)

  • I dont belive him

The video showed that you should use a 1.5 volt battery such as AAA, AA, C, or D. But he pluged in a 9 volt battery. I think to much mary jane!

    • Nice observation

If you check the schematic diagram on wiibuilder.com, you'll see that anything over 1.5v is fine, despite with 9V you'll need a resister in between. Good luck

  • wad does the 'censor bar' do?

i dont see it getting connected to anything?
    can someone pls explain? thanks

    By bambino79 1200138693
    • Sensor bar doesn't sensor anything.

What jasontimmer said is exactly correct. It only emits IR lights so the wiimote has a referene in space to compute its position and sends it to the "console". for a clear explanantion, check out the "demythified" section on wiibuilder.com

      By wiibuilder 1200151504
  • So let's get it straight...

the "sensor bar" isn't really a "sensor bar" because it doesn't sense anything, the bar itself sends no information whatsoever to the computer. It really just serves as a point of reference in space for the remote, right?

  • zz zzz zzzz

huh? wah? oh, I slept through it. oh well, I guess I'll just have to buy one like everyone else!

  • Wow...

So you're paying $50 for a cruddy shooting game?

    By Gollum999 1200071806
    • Well, there's more

Since the video I've gotten it work on at least a dozen games. I'll post my findings soon.
