Even as late as 1980 they were still touting the eveidence of global freezing. and unlike global warming.... it was accepted as fact by the scientific comunity.

we are more worried of global heating which eventually WOULD cause freezing if it happens to occur which is not predictable, we dont know what WILL happen in the future.

The prediction for another ice age was based on the the cycle that ice age events have which occur at fairly regular intervals. We should be in an ice age already. But human induced global warming has prevented the ice age from happening. This is obivously a good thing in the short term, but the effects of global warming are going to cause a lot of problems in the future.

Did you ever boil milk. If you let it boil it will overflow and will kill the heat. That how climate work.
If it gets hot it will have more rain and snow to cool it down. So if earth cannot take us or our activities it will 'balance' us.

We believe the earth has had ice ages in the past. We know it has been hotter in the past. Woolly Mammoths north of the artic circle in Siberia. The remnants of rain forests fount under 100+ feet of ice, BUT we are causing this. Probably our fault the polar ice caps on Mars are melting as well.
