But you dont have to do it with a battery, you could just hold one end and light up the rest with a lighter and it will go back to normal as well. As long as its heated. [thought i might add that in for those who dont have a big ass battery]

Question
If you reshape the metal while it's heated, does it remember the new shape, or do you have to reshape it in some other way for it to remeber the new shape?
