travallers beware, i m chinese myself, in Shanghai there are alot ppl like this, they are usually not native shanghainese ppl but usually from countryside, life is very hard for those ppl as they can not find proper jobs in shanghai as native shanghainese tend to discriminate countryside ppl. they are resort to steal and rob. but if you ever catch them red handed stealing, give them a good beating as ppl really hate them.

Did this myself for years on HC in the netherlands, those guys are just way to easy to catch. pro pickpocketters won't get it without a visual block from someone else. if done good, there is noway a security camera will see it!!.

i live in this little peninsula near hong kong... i went to china few weeks ago n saw this guy tryin to steal a whole suitcase from this other guy... but the police dont really do anything about it... they just have to pay like a $2000 fine n they'r out stealin again...

my gf is chinese and i went to Beijing to meet the fam. her parents were constantly telling me to watch my bag. i guess one time her mother had a ring stolen right off her finger on the subway. just nuts. glad to see they get busted every now and then.

I am a pickpocketer But i dont do it in a criminal way all i need is 15 seconds of a persons ime and i will have ther watch wallet and anything else in ther pockets then after finished I will Come back up to him and ask HIm top cheak his pockets and after he finds his stuff missing i will hand his stuff back and tell him to be carful of how easy it is for people to jack your stuff
