Orange County - despite its reputation as a Republican stronghold - is second only to Los Angeles County for the number of Democrats living there.

Yet, it is too often written off by Democratic candidates.

Not so, the Obama campaign.

On January 13th, the Obama for America campaign opened it's new campaign HQ for Orange County in the city of Santa Ana, answering the call of an energized activist base.

Hundreds stopped by to celebrate and work, as Senator Obama's unprecedented grassroots campaign continued to build momentum and strength across the Golden State.
