This is one of a series of similar Lenovo advertisements. In truth the only safety feature of the laptop is that it will shut down the hard disk if it senses that it is falling.

when it opens and closes, pause in the middle and youll notice that the shield is actually being painted on the screen :)))

Lenovo is exagerating their features to show the benefits of buying their laptops. In this video, it shows that that the laptop is spill proof. No, it doesn't have shutters, but in actual fact, it has "canals" under the keyboard which redirects the fluid to a hole on the bottom so that it doesn't spill on the components inside. Quite clever in fact.
Another Lenovo commercial shows a laptop being dropped and then before it hits the ground, it hovers like a UFO. In that commercial, they are showing the Hard Drive protection system which stops writing to the disk if the laptop falls. This would avoid scratching the disk in the case of a fall. Again, they are exgerating to show what the technology does, not how it does it.

the color of the liquid doesn't get darker or get affected by man's shadow as he walks in view to wipe it off.
the shield closes way too early. it barely falls off the cup and it already closes.

pause it just before the liquid falls and you can tell.

Lenovo is a fast developing computer base that has been producing gadgets like these, mostly to protect the comp from any harm so it lasts longer. This is one of the examples, the computer instantly notices the liquid substance and like an airbag in a car reacts superfast by shutting the whole pc with rudders! amazing!
