Steve Martin where did you go wrong... First cheaper by the dozen then this horrible attempt at remaking the Pink Panther.

  Didn't see either movie, just because they looked so, um, well, just plain retarded. I really like Steve Martin, but he needs to be a lot more selective in which movies he chooses.

- yeah, i really like steve martin too.
  there was an interesting program on him a year or two back. did you catch it from tv? at first he said that he'd made about 25 films and that of those about half were pretty good. then he backed off of even that and said that, "well, i guess others will have to be the judge of whole films but i CAN say that i've made some pretty good clips!"
  and then they showed a few,.... one of his best scenes ever was where he was exiting the HIGH TEMPLE OF HICOLONICS in "LA Story". he's walking down about 5-6 steps and his legs are wiggling just like a character from one of those old Max Fleischman cartoons! Absolute Rubber!! Hilarious!!

  gotta agree on this one. i checked myself and i never even cracked a smile. and if I don't laugh at something, it definately needs to be fixed. my brother and i will laugh at anything. his wife (mine too actually) laughs at nothing. we are thus able to devise pretty good litmus tests for these kind of things. :)
