      It's taken from the art used in feudal japan for quick and efficient protection. Just because you think your art is better doesn't mean it's true (even though pretty much every martial artist thinks that way...we're all arrogant.)

      It's indisputable though...if you really want to learn how to punch...study the Shaolin Monks. They're the best.

      From what I see, they know what they are talking about. They are not amazing, but they know how to punch.

      I think they are just doing what they know, even if it is not the best way to punch, it's still a somewhat effective and will work.

      ...and yes, every style thinks they are the best.
