Essentially a kata performed in the dark. Sword is drawn slowly, keeping it inside your outline..... masking your movements to the opponent in front. When he decides to attack....
what was the tap to the kasaki all about?
knocking the blood off?
very short, i would like to see more....
Kasaki?..... is that a mistake or different dialect? The closest name of a sword part to this is the Kissaki which is the tip of the blade!
Will add a video showing all names of sword parts soon. thanks for the interest!
the action of removing the blood is called Jiburi. There are many variations of this movement, in this case the sword is spun 360 degrees before the tap to the Tsuka.
More will be coming but the styles I know have been under much personal development since this footage was shot. Its my goal to put together a channel dedicated to M Arts... stay tuned.... subscribe for updates, Ta!
