Out of 7 airplanes only 4 managed to land on this runway. I must say the pilots who landed their planes are extremely skilled pilots. Just listen to the sound of wind. Hats off to the pilots who landed. Better luck next time for rest of the pilots. Enjoy.

    Landing in a cross wind is always a challenge. Looks like good practice to me. These guys are good!

  • First plane used a go around

    Second plane also used a go around

    Third plane landed hard! Ouch for the plane

    Fourth plane used a go around

    Fifth plane landed at the middl of the runway

    Sixth plane landed smoothly

    Seventh plane's landing was pretty smooth

    u think they are bus drivers, why don't u try becoming one, in order to be a pilot u have to learn and and do extensive training first u have to get a private pilots license then an instrument rating the a commercial pilot license and a multiengine rating and the air transportation pilot certificate. On average it takes at least four years without including a degree. pilots have to learn stuff like crosswind landing instrument landing, IFR approaches , lazy eights and more complicated stuff then u can image so don't talk if u don't know S**t dumbass.

    These guys are now just bus drivers,the computer does the rest, but if you are the driver( there are old pilots, and there are bold pilots but there are no old bold pilots) your passengers come first, and if you don`t like DO NOT land.
    Its great being a pilot you sit at the front and get a good view of everything.
    The downside is you are closer to the crash. Remember all good pilots have the same number of take offs as they do landings.
    There is no shame in aborting a landing, there is shame if you land and get it wrong.

      BUS DRIVERS!you try flying one of them,the need extensive training i cant belive peole are as thick as you.Bus drivers are losers the same as taxi drivers they cant get a job anywere else,like the army.Tell you what at night go out to the country,turn off all your lights then turn on your sat-nav then just drive following your computer.Or better still shut the hell upon something you know nothing about.

  • This is NOT a dangerous airport.

    I suppose all airports have they own windy days too. Landing with crossed winds condicion is not easy in any airport.

    Flight simulator players take a visit to LPMA airport, is this one.

    Portuguese pilots are one of the best in the world, Madeira its a hard landing, im from terceira Island, Azores i 2 have seen hard landings, belive me, there very good.

      I worked for TAP aircraft for maintenance, now I understand why they were in so bad conditions. To land when you cannot is absolutely dangerous! The problem is that they fly with shortage of fuel and they are forced to land. If possible DO NOT FLY TAP!!!
