that's a really cool clip. do you happen to know how long that footage originally was ?

for a brief period. I visited the canal and I can tell you that the footage you see took a great deal of time. Just the filling of the locks takes an hour or so. Also, for trivia. Each ship that passes through the canal pays in cash. Ahead of schedule of course. Lot of money that canal makes.
