I was in Panama
for a brief period. I visited the canal and I can tell you that the footage you see took a great deal of time. Just the filling of the locks takes an hour or so. Also, for trivia. Each ship that passes through the canal pays in cash. Ahead of schedule of course. Lot of money that canal makes.
Check me vids on me channel. Newest is the eye of death. Surprisingly many haven't had the gnads to watch it. lol

  Originally that transiting took us about 12 hours! But ussually it takes one day with waiting at the anchorage place.
