As the producer of the video referred to, I will say that I am happy to see the idea find its way into Kipkay's video, where it can be of benefit to even more people. The idea was not mine in the first place. There are several photographers using the string.

- the string is probably one of the oldest
tricks in 'the book' , same goes for the pantyhose...gues what photographers have been using that technique for ages - however I preffer to use either black or white not the brownish, which gives you a color cast.

I know you're not asking me but I tried the coat hanger hdtv anttena and find that it isn't that much better than rabbit ears anttenas. I think the problem is in the demesions and the steel used in coat hangers.

good tip on the bungee-steady-cam! i'll have to try that. :) AIS gets annoying sometimes, and gets really FUBAR when using a wide angle lens...and there's times i need to do ~270 degree pans on FAST moving objects (motorcyle racing at the track) where i can get pretty sloppy sometimes.. thanks for the tip!

I have not tried bungee for the camera stabilizing method from #5, but I think a string that doesn't stretch would be better. That way you don't have to worry that you might change how hard you are pulling over time. I think that pulling against an elastic would cause fatigue over time.

I'm a movie making hobbyist, we're making a video where we do stupid and funny stuff. My friend sprayed lots of perfume on his face and under his chin, took my zippo and lit his face. It flared up a lot and he panicked and I caught it all on tape. He started to get blisters on his lips. Omg it was hilarious (we're 15-year-olds).
