  • HOW ITS DONE

    To effect making the images move is based upon the principle of moire (moh-ray) patterns and fringes.

    In the book are images with lines slightly displaced, so when the cover with parallel lines is placed over,
    -some of the lines in the book are behind the black lines so are not seen
    -other lines in the book are between the black lines, so are seen as a dark area
    As the paper is moved, the small lines in the book come in and out of view bit by bit, so it appears the picture is moving.
