I practice taekwondo myself, and I can say this is mostly true, although maybe they could have used a tougher taekwondoist.
twd has no chance again muay thai. but seriously, that guy who use muay thai doesn't even know the proper stance, no guard, no follow with any attack. still an amateur
By bobem 1232092087 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe can't even do the stance properly. But yet...he kicked the TKD dude out. I say both of them learned from videos they bought online. --- Cheers from Thailand.
By bisean 1223023325 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeive been doing muay thai for 4 years and i have fought in many thai fights.
that thai guy is not a pro, Not even an AMATEUR.
his stance is off and his kicks are weak.
id say hes been doing muay thai for
about 8 months.
I have beaten 12 black belts in taekwondo and 6 in karate after only doing muay thai for 2 years.
I am now an amateur Muay thai fighter and an amateur Cagefighter.
Taewkondo and karate dont stand a chance in the cage.
that wasn't a fight, anyone with any experience should have ripped that red belt apart in seconds. The red belt didn't keep his guard up, didn't counter, didn't move except stumble backwards. His opening attack was a turning kick of the back leg, wtf?? nobody opens with a right hand. The muay thai didn't follow through on any attack, was off balance and exposed on almost all of his mid level kicks. The TKD guy clearly never had any training on low kicks/sweeps and shouldn't have been allowed to compete.
By kitster 1165083893 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedid you also notice this particular guy never even put his hands up the whole time. it was probably a WTF tkd practitioner. in our school, if you ever let your hands down the instructor comes out of no where and hits you in the face. and plus, our instructor mixes in jeet jun do, ming chun, hanmudo and hapkido, and all kinds of thigns that he learned from other styles he took.
By chrisx 1164513779 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeyou mean jeet kune do and wing chun
you dont know S**t about martial arts do you. and if he mixes in all these other concepts it isnt really tkd is it
the taekwondo fighter is just a red belt, not even a black belt. you must be atleast a 1st degree to be able to be world ranked and this guy deffinately not even close in skill to being world ranked. get a real taekwondo fighter in there n see what happens!
By scorpio1114 1164325061 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI agree with they put the wrong guy in the ring.
By FlipRyder21 1218718519 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe thai boxer stuck to simple moves that he had mastered. the other idiot decided to do some high fancy kiick and he got his leg kicked from underneath him! that is a great example of why i hate tae kwon do. its to fancy. you will always find the simple moves are the most effective. especially when fighting a style that you have little experience of.
By dane69 1163626502 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveSo Muay Thai owns because of they way it is done. It is tried true and tested over thousands of years. Tae Kwon Doe is a slow medatation style done in slow mo by monks with eachother. It is not practical. Ever wonder why every member of the UFC who wins knows Muay Thai.
By Ninjae 1162173371 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeur probably rite abt Muay Thai being tested over centuries, but TKD is not a slow meditation thing. I do TKD and it is quite difficult. You may be thinkning of Shaolin, or Tai Chi. Tai Chi is slow mo cuz its more of a breathing stretching than a martial art and Shaolin is done by monks. Taekwondo is a martial art as much as karate or even muay thai boxing is, but muay thai does look kool XD
By Ronaldinho Rox 1172187077 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI should have checked my grammar.
By fattylumpkin 1161309423 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut that was a very weak tae kwon do fighter... he never took lead, he kept pushing back instead of countering, he wasnt ready to be in that ring
By rysky007 1159977952 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removedad my dad thinks tae kwon do is better but i think muay thai so he wont let be go to muay thai
By karate black belt 1159959687 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOk I study and practice tae kwon do. If you see in the video the tae kwon doist is a red belt. I am a red belt myself and in tae kwon do red belt is right below a black belt. So i do not believe that this is a highly trained fighter.
By dragonforce666 1166139722 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethai can never beat taekwondo, this so wrong. they chose a rat to fight that guy thats y that taekwondo lost. a memo to yall teakwondo is the only martial art that is included in the olympics. only TKD!!
By moussoud 1165082128 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removetkd is not as practical in a real fight in comparison with muay thai
By mangorn 1166700666 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhat belt r u to say that muay thai is better. no art is better than the other. Its how much heart one has to train hard so that they can fight. If the tkd trained alittle harder than he may have done better than what would you say. America is the only place I see little kids getting black belts. Not to say any other country is better than ours.
By fattylumpkin 1161309354 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebeing able to use your hands, knees, elbows, shins, feet, and head....and allowed to throw your opponent or trip him is WAY better than only being allowed to kick or punch above the waist.
i did tKD and karate and Jeet kun do for 3 years before realizing something.....
Muay thai and MMA are for REAL fighters.

Hey well you are right. However, even if you know how to use your hands knees etc. If you dont practice and dont work hard at it you will get defeated by just bout any body.
By fattylumpkin 1170470640 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removefinally somebody intelligent enough to realize that its not the art. it's how hard you train and how you use the techniques you know. the tkd guy was obviously not very skillful in his use of tkd.
