The gas is not an actual gas but the air that is pushed out in front of the projectile. This is used to recoil the mech and so load the new round. Same as the desert eagle of U.S or R4 of South Africa

Yes, the M82 and the AA12 are severely awesome.
They are just the most practical for the situations they are designed for.

metric units make conversions to sizes simpler, but empirical units are based on the sizes and measurements of things that exist.
I think I'll stick with BOTH.
how do they relate to real things? And even the 'foot', well, really. As you said, conversions are much easier, so if you just get used to the system, where's the drawback?

It always gets me that, despite how much high-tech weaponry were using over there, it doesn't change the fact that were not making a DAMN bit of difference. Same as in Vietnam- far superior weaponry compared to the enemy, yet still got our asses handed to us.
