The Yes We Can - Barack Obama Music Video on YouTube,and the famous speech, like a lot of Obama world, are full of beautiful successful young people. Yes we can? Of course they can. But how about others in America?

We can is a nice sentiment

In therapy we call that hedging.

Tommy, are you going to clean up your room today?

If Tommy says "Yes I can" does that tell you he's going to? No He can but will he?

Donna, are you going to put the money into our account so our electricity doesn't get turned off?

If Donna says "Yes I can" does that tell you she's going to? No. She can but will she?



Let's hear instead of yes we can is yes we will. This is the real problem with OBama.

We will have universal health care in this country by June 2010, I promise you this.

We will have all the young military people home from Iraq for the holidays at the end of 2009, I promise you this
Yes we will
We will have food, clothing and shelter for all the homeless people in America by December 2010, I promise you
Yes we will
We will make sure that the thousands or even millions in this country who are losing their homes to foreclosure are helped to stay in their homes, and will solve this problem by June 2010, I promise you.

It doesn't matter to people with no health insurance that "yes we can"
It only matters that yes we will... and when!

It doesn't matter to the troops in Iraq that yes we can
It only matters that yes we will... and when!

It doesn't matter to the homeless that yes we can help you
It only matters that yes we will... and when!

It doesn't matter to the people whose homes are in foreclosure that yes we can
It only matters that yes we will... and when!

So Mr. Obama, if you are really going to give hope and change, say exactly what this hope and change are. Don't just dangle yes we can in front of us. We know we can, The American people are strong and capable... but will we? We know you can give a pretty speech and surround yourself with pretty people, we want to know not what can we do, but... What will we do and what will you do? And by when? Otherwise you are just another politician using the techniques of persuasion and trances and smoke and mirrors to get votes.
