but being a police officer is a tough job, and a guy would've had better chances of fighting back , and even if he would've been knocked out, it would probably be with less injuries. Like it or not, men are phisically stronger.

Then stand up in the middle of the court, stick his hand down the back of his pants, pull out a glob of crap(peanut butter) and eat it in front of the judge. That way he'd get sent to the looney bin....otherwise he's gonna have one very sore asshole.

For all you guys who think this is funny, how would you feel if this was your mother, sister or wife? ...beaten senseless by a selfish waste of a human being who simply doesn't want to go to jail for crimes he has already committed? On another note, even some of the best UFC fighters can get knocked out by simply one punch (if caught at the right angle) and they are highly trained athletes. This woman was completely caught off guard and the guy connected dead on with a VERY hard right hook. What do you expect? Anybody, other than a prized fighter with a huge neck, would have been laid out with a cheap shot like that as well. I'm glad he's getting 60. He truly deserves it for assaulting an innocent human being like that (regardless of whether she was male or female). I saw a documentary about this incident and the female officer had to go through months of facial rehab to recover from this beating.

1) Getting knocked out generally has more to do with timing and angles - most professional boxers who get knocked out get caught off guard through fatigue at the end of a fight or through lack of concentration. It's rarely the raw power of a shot, but the angle and place of it that does the damage. Therefore, a male officer would have been equally likely to get caught with a S**ker punch like this.

2) The point of the video is that the cop should have kept a safe distance (reaction zone) between herself and the suspect. She got hit because she took her eye off the game.

3) The guy was clearly a complete maniac - one punch achieved what he needed, but he continued to beat the cop on the floor in front of his terrified daughter. He needs removing from the rest of the world for every one's well being.

4) I don't know what the system is like in the US, but it strikes me that if more people in the UK got sent down for 60 years, there'd be a lot less of them F**king this up for everyone else.

5) Most of you people have no idea about the realities of fighting or police work. It's not like the movies - in either case - and for those of you who think all cops are bad, power crazy, looking for an excuse to do you over, just be glad you're not proved right EVERY time you see a police officer (even if they are eating a donut!)

...I didn't see the entire video as it's presented here. Here are some of the facts that the video didn't show, but that were shown on television:
A passing motorist saw the officer lying there. His reaction spoke volumes as he called in to dispatch "Officer down!". In the background, you can hear the officer gurgle as she's trying to breathe. She was choking on her own blood. Her face and head were shattered, and her cranial bones had to be reset. Her skull is laced with metal.
I look at it this way: If it had been my sister, I'd've tracked him down and made him wish he only had a 60-year prison sentence.
If it had been my daughter, I'd snap his head around so hard that he'd end up in Hell looking at his own ass....

I feel sorry for the little girl. Her father is an idiot. I wish the best for the officer, and I'm glad she recovered.

The guy in this video was sentenced to 60 years plus time for being in possession of a pound of marihuana. The officer had located it between the front seats. The officers injuries required extensive facial surgeries.

No women should ever be allowed to be police officers. This happens all the time, sometimes with even more tragic consequences, where the animal overpowers the officer, takes her gun and shoots not only her but others at the scene.

I saw this video on a series (sorry i forgot what it was called) were a serious of police incidents and attacks were shown to display to the public what a diffcult job being a police officer can be. After that clip that commentator said that the woman had to get several metal plates put into her cheeks and have 2 or 3 operations done to her face to correct most of the broken bones in the face area and skull. This is not funny at all. It is supposed to teach police and other people a lesson and serve them as a guide if they encounter such a situation. Thanks for the post.

he would probably get one year or something.. 13 men were recently convicted for armed robbery and for killing a police officer (The NOKAS case). The penalties were 19 years or less in prison. But 60 years?? Really? For what reason? He will never be contributing to the society again, ever.. Isn't the whole point with prison penalties to bring those individuals back to the society with an opportunity to live meaningful productive lives? :)
