Tyson was the best trained fighter that ever got into the ring. Cus D'amato trained him in the "peek-a-boo" style and with Tyson's strength and speed he was unbeatable. Cus died in '87 ( just before Tyson fought Trevor Burbrick for the Title) which effected Tyson, and Tyson never trained as hard for anybody else... in fact he hardly trained at all with the furiosity that Cus demanded of Mike. To complicate things worse Jacobs ( one of the two promoters who were working with the Tyson camp ) died. Tyson was a child trapped inside a powerful mans body... and with a lot of money. Tyson screwed himself the moment he started trusting Don King... and kept screwing himself from that point on (Robin Givens, fired Kevin Rooney, raping the beauty pagent gal). Tyson could'a been the best of all time... now he is a has been. At least he can claim he was the sh*t at one time (1985-1991).

Mike has nobody to blame for his fall but himself, he made really bad decisions. Tyson made himself a slave in gold chains.

Fighters can evaluated on a universal scale and boxers just come up short my friend compared to MMA. Lets put it this way. If Tyson in his prime faced Fedor on the street unarmed, Tyson would have his ass handed to him. Now go pick strawberries idiot.

Mike Tsyon was a great boxer, but the best of all time?... it's arguable. One thing is for sure, and that is Rocky Marciano wouldn't stand a chance against Tyson because, well their powers are unmatched. Being strong in the 50's is a different stong than the 80-90's. Second, Ali would probably take Tyson easy because of Ali's skills in the ring. Ali would dance circles around Ali like he did everybody else, and true Ali did lose 5 fights but he fought with parkisins and he was fighting when he was way too old to be in the ring. Ali lost to Fraizer because his rope-a-dope didn't work as well on Fraizer as it did on Foreman. A good match for Tyson would be between Tyson and Foreman, Liston or Fraizer. It would be great to see Pure Power go against Pure Power because Foreman, Liston and Fraizer are all beasts in the ring. I think Tyson's uppercut would've been a good match for Fraizer's Left hook, Foreman's power or even Liston's chin. (Yes, beleive it or not Liston had a great chin, until the whole Ali days.) So is Tyson a great fighter? Undoubtedly, but the best of all time? I would give it to Ali. (Oh and another thing, the only way Lewis would stand a chance against Tyson is if Lewis stuck with his same old boring style of jab and run, but one, and only one, good hit from Tyson and Lewis would be out for certain. Do you see any Lennex Lewis Highlight tapes? No because he's boring)

As a student of boxing history, I can't begin to tell you how stupid it is to say that Mike Tyson is the best boxer ever. Watch the fights from his "prime". There is no form or art, just pure power. Take a look back into the past and you'll see what happens when pure power meets pure form. Power is hopeless.

Tyson is nothing. Even in his prime he could not defeat any of the top middleweights and heavies in MMA competition. For example Fedor, the heavyweight champion of Pride, would make a young Tyson in his prime, his little bitch.
