it's funny but cool to see the many ways people count there money. I do the last one here. I Only have to do that becuse one the money are not that perfect two I never get that high LMAO. Credit card are used more.

I have been all over the world. I would agree for the most part with most the counting methods. However, I would disagree with encompassing all of Africa into one method. East Africa, West Africa, Kenya, and South Africa all count in different ways.
Further as an FYI, the main reason so many different counting methods derived is because of the varying textures, paper thickness, and size of the bills amongst different currency. If you have ever dealt with certain foreign currency you know it is easier to count in one manner over another.

i am turkish and lived in turkey all 22 years of my life and i think ican safely say that; that s NOT how we count our money.

although it was very interesting to see, and i realise it says 'some parts of turkey' and sorry but no. thats not true. it s actually exactly like the way described for far east, japan and korea and china.. i ve never seen any one just scattering their money on a table...

I bet some of these difference arise in bargain-based economies (middle east) versus fixed-price economies (u.s., europe)

In a bargain-economy, you wouldn't want to show a seller how much money you had/discretion of money is the key to bargaining. In a fixed-price economy not only doesn't it matter - but you might want to show off how much money you have in the hopes of better service...

But which is the fastest method to count cash with your hands?

i like the method that was show second to last although i generally count my money using the united states method, any way it's interesting to see that there are various ways of doing this.

I'm from Sweden, and kind of use the "Brittish-American" way of changing the position of the money, except that I count using only my right hand. First holding the deck of money in my hand and slightly twist the money a bit to separate them from the other using my thumb.

Similar to the Japan/Korea method, except:
I fold money in half widthwise (the standard way), hold it in my left hand, use my left thumb to push a bill out to the right, then use my right forefinger and right thumb to flip each bill up.
I'm a bartender in Seattle and was taught to do this by my bar manager.
Works great.

Okay, I live in Pakistan, and has been for last 33 years :P and I've never seen anyone (including myself) count like this. Mine is same as Russia, European method. But people at bank use first method or counting machines.
