Inglemoor High School vs. Roosevelt High in Seattle Washington, 2002. The player who made the shot was on Roosevelt, but they still lost by 20 points. At the time it was made no one knew it actually went in. The refs did not count the points because to everyone it looked like it sent up through the bottom then back down. Only after the game did we see the video. I was #10 at the bottom of the screen in black.

you bother saying it was all luck? Do you REALLY think everyone, including that guy, doesn't know that? Amazing shot, I think anyone would be lucky to make one half that good. And yes, for whoever said it wouldn't actually count, it would. No one touched it and therefore it would be fair if it got caught by the net.

I saw this video clip on a show called world's most amazing video's and what actually happened was the guy threw the ball with a lot of force which caused it to get caught in the net which swinged it back up and into the net. watch the video really closesly to see it.

Those asserting that the shot goes up through the hoop aren't very perceptive. It clearly goes around the hoop and down through.

if you watch closely it does NOT enter the ring from the bottem. it gets caught up in the net and then loops up on the far side of the ring and then drops through the ring. 2 points.

No, it doesn't. The rules of any basketball league state that the ball must enter the top of the hoop and go downward, rather than enter the bottom, go up, and then back in.
