- this isn't funny...
...my apartment was broken into last December by a pack of dogs, and one possum, and the little bastards stole my tv, my hifi, my x-box, and also made off with $400 in cash. The insurance company refused to pay out, claiming I was making it up. Sure, I was having difficulties with my mental health at the time, but I didn't make this up. How could I fake being tied up and gagged by seven dogs and a possum?

...I think the people who persisently say things are fake are having a laugh - it's about testing how stupid some metacafe viewers are - the really stupid ones reply to the 'this is fake' comments and get agitated by them. A bit like you did.
The flip side is people asking if things are real when they clearly are not. There's a clip from a video game on here - I posted to ask if it was real, and where the 'footage' had come from. Stupid? Not as stupid as the three people who replied to point out that it was a computer animation.
Rather than waste your time with all that text you should have just marked the guy's comments as 'funny'.

When the little suckers take your food out on the trail.
They can mess up a tent or a pack and leave you with nothing three days from the nearest road.
I was out in New York during Easter talking with a ranger. The bear population in the Adirondacks could not be maintained on natural food anymore. There have been so many able to steel from campers and backpackers that they have a surplus population. They have bears that make rounds around these lakes visiting shelters and taking the food. They have figured out how to get food down off of wires and suspended between trees. I hear in Yosemite the bears are notoriously smart at getting food from people.

One of our Great Danes used to love stealing your socks while you were wearing them..... He'd carefully nibble around the end until he had a loose bit of sock hanging off to grab onto, then heave it off your foot in stages, shake it around to kill it, then come back for the other one. Very annoying.
