This is a tutorial on how to crack WEP wireless networks! Send me a message if you need help!

NOTE: ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO CRACK THE WIRELESS NETWORK OR IF YOU OWN IT! I AM NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYONE! I HAVE TOLD YOU IN ADVANCE!

The aim of this video is to show people how easily it is to crack a Wireless network with WEP encryption. Seriously, if you know how to do it, even a 5 yr old could if you showed them how. Now that you know this, you should upgrade to WPA! It is much harder and takes much longer to crack.

    When I CLICK to start the AIRCRACK-NG it opens for a split second then closes. It simply will not remain open for me to work with it.

    I have THREE signals on channel 11. DOes this matter? Commview is collecting packets for all three.
    So...what do I do next? Use Aircrack with your smae instructions? click in "1"...?

    I got all the packets I need but when I load them with aircrack it speeds though like its gonna crack it then says index number of target network? I type 1 then it says Got no data packets from target network! help! What am I doing wrong here lol

    I'm not sure if my wifi card is compatible with comview, it is Intel(R) PRO?Wireless 3945ABG Network, I've already looked around and haven't found any info on this wifi card to see if it works or not, so could you tell me if this card is compatible with comview or not. Thanks!!!

    • Compatible cards

      Easy to figure out. Open Commview.
      See the arrow in the upper left corner...like a PLAY button? If it is GREY your card is not compatible, or the driver on the card is not compatble. You can easily have a card that IS compatible, but the driver for your card is not. Go to the tamos website and look up compatible drivers. if your card is listed there, you simpley need the driver to go along with it.

    okay im farly new to this cracking stuff, ive downloaded Commview for Wifi okay, ive set up my bit rate but i am always getting confused with the install a driver thing?? im on a laptop so i dont have a wireless chip or card, i have wireless enabled in my laptop, so what shall i do,?? could i just update my drivers in my laptop?? thanks man Gaz.

  • Nothing in the logs folder

    After capturing 1+ million packets nothing was saved in the "logs" folder, how come? Also there si not "export logs" option in the "files" pulldown menu only "Save logs as.." but it is grey out.

    Are those hex-numbers and you have to convert them into Ascii? Because what for example is AD or C1? These don't exist. Maybe you can help me.

  • IV vs. Packets

    Hi in your video you mentioned that "capturing 2 million packets doesn't mean you've captured 2 million IV's".

    So I'm checking Commview, how do i know or where do I find to check how many IV's I have captured?

    Because capturing 2 million packets is taking me more than 2 days to accomplish. Is this normal?

    So, I gather my packets, export them to .cap file, launch aircrack with all the files attached, and then I can't find the network I am trying to crack. I get this long list of data, at the bottom it asks me for a number, and I can find the network. What am I doing wrong?

    according to the instructions in Commview thi adapter is supported, however when İ upload the driver the connection is disabled and i cannot enable it again unless i roll-back to the original driver. Do you know why? can u help?

  • HOW TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS

    Since many people have asked me how, here is how:

    Open up CommView for Wi-Fi and up the top click on "Help" and then on "Driver Installation Guide"

    Scroll down to the very bottom and then click on "Next". Then select the 1ST option, then hit "Next"

    Then leave it as the bottom option and hit "Next". Then select your country and click "Install Driver"

      Hey,

      It took a few days, but now with the new aircrack you might only need like 1 million packets. 1 million packets doesn't mean 1 million IV's. To crack 64bit WEP you need around 200,000 IV's.

  • Ugrade to WPA

    Depends if you have enabled file sharing on your OWN wireless router. They can get full access. Do NOT use this to crack someones network! This is strictly ONLY to show that anyone could be using your wireless at home if you have WEP. Just upgrade to WPA! Then it will be 10 times as hard to crack.

    Yeah thanks! Using a Aircrack ptw you can crack WEP using only a mere 100,000 IV's. Pretty good!

    The only reason I am using CommView for Wi-Fi is because it is compatible with MOST wireless cards and doesn't require ANY programming!

    verry good explination must of taken you a long time to put togeather. just to let you know you don't allways need 500.000 ivs for 128bit wep iv done mine in backtrack 3 with 150.000 ivs
