Green Energy from waste described here by Stafford "Doc" Williamson of DaoChi Energy of Arizona is a technical and economic model that really can change the world in vast ways and in a highly integrated series of synergies. Creating high grade kerosene (jet fuel) from sewage (yes, human sewage) promotes improved local sanitation, eliminates transport costs and energy waste for jet fuel delivery (every large city has an airport). Improved sanitation means better safe water supplies, and the "waste" heat and electricity generated in the fuel refining process can be used for desalination and pumping water to parched drought stricken regions that will feed the starving in underdeveloped countries. Sewage is an excellent medium to culture microscopic algae, the REAL long term hope for all cellulosic based fuels (as well as high in lipid content for biodiesel and synthetic diesel processes), integrating this makes it a phenomenally rich renewable source of feedstock. Finally the high value of jet fuel will stimulate economic growth wherever these projects develop, as well as making air travel carbon neutral by using renewable source fuels.
