Biographical information
Tom Konkle, Writer/Producer
Tom started his career as a director, receiving a bachelor’s in film and television production from The American University in Washington D.C. He won the 1988 AFI short film award for his film “Infestation” which brought him out to L.A. While acting and writing, he worked behind the scenes as a producer and director for various production companies including ITC. Tom directed, wrote and co-produced the pilot for “Writer’s Block” for Universal’s Roberts/David productions. He has produced and directed many on-air projects including specials for Live Entertainment, Sci-Fi Network, and Discovery. Eleven years ago, he founded Mythic Image Productions with Graham Ford (Time Bandits, Brazil). In addition to production, he landed a contract doing DVD production and supplemental material for Paramount, Dreamworks and independents, including the award winning Henry Rollins DVDs.

Writing credits include Village of the Darned, The Last Breath, Dynamo Duck, Cube, and others, as well as having written, produced and directed music videos, short films, and industrials. Tom performed, wrote for and directed an award winning sketch comedy troupe, Lester McFwap, for many years.

The remaining Monty Python members asked him to produce, direct, perform and ruin their never before seen sketches live in a show called Owl-Stretching Time with David Beeler. Tom recently performed and wrote a two-man sketch special with John Cleese for last year’s World Cup.

As an actor, he was a series regular on NBC's Spy TV, Sci-Fi Channel's Scare Tactics and he has been seen on The Office, Arrested Development, Back to You, The Game and The Orlando Jones Show. You may have also seen Tom in commercials working with Christopher Guest, Michael Palin, Eric Idle, Alice Cooper, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Jackie Chan, Martin Scorsese, Demetri Martin and independent films like the award winning “Who Makes Movies?” His stage career is extensive. Currently, Tom & Dave have completed production on the pilot presentation for the new series Is It Safe?

David Beeler, Writer/Producer
Born and raised in Kerrville Texas, David went to school in London and trained at The Central School of Speech & Drama while Laurence Olivier was the President of the school. David was "over there" for 10 years and highlights include: Hamlet, Ritchie Valens in Buddy, Puck, Edmund, and being directed in “The Scottish Play” by Dame Judi Dench.

He founded Paradox Productions which produced award winning plays including Booth, a one-man show written and performed by David which won a Fringe 1st at the Edinburgh Festival, as did an ensemble piece he wrote about John Wilkes Booth entitled Our Brutus. That show transferred to London, leading to a writing commission from a West End producer. He completed the Booth Trilogy with The Sanity of Madness. His script Whistling in The Dark was short listed by American Zoetrope for development.

In LA, David met Tom in Beyond the Fringe (LA Weekly Comedy Pick of The Week) which led to them producing and performing Good Evening together. David joined Tom’s sketch group, Lester McFwap, performing in LA and across the country. The McFwap members also produced the eponymous, TV pilot, McFwap! As a comedy duo, he and Tom have penned and produced Good Night, Double Act, and A Tribute to Dave and Tom, the feature length sketch film, The Archeology of Comedy as well as dozens of short films viewed by millions online. Dave and Tom founded Pith-e Productions to develop short-form comedy for new media and are repped by TGMD Talent for new media.

Dave has just begun his most significant project to date with the birth of his son, Chayim.

As a sketch-comedy duo, they have performed at many venues across the country and with dozens of online videos and a feature length sketch comedy show, The Archaeology of Comedy, they have built up a considerable presence online. With over 10 million total views, their videos have garnered much attention from video content sites and can be found on over 100 content portals. Their pilot presentation for a new series, “Is It Safe?” was the #2 comedy pick on Youtube in 19 countries.

They founded Pith-e Productions in 2005 to develop and produce short form comedy for new media. They are repped by Kevin Motley of TGMD Talent.
