Kevin Eldridge Bails out of the Super Corsair at the first annual Phoenix Air races. Notice he turns the plane away from the airshow crowd and points the plane at the ground before bailing out. You can bet his butt was getting really hot judging from the intense flames. The Super Corsair exploded upon impact, a sad loss. Kevin suffered major injuries exiting the aircraft, but he is fine today. Announcer is Sandy Sanders.

  The engine self destructed. When all that oil gets loose the hot exhaust headers can ingnite it- and it did on a big scale!

if im not mistakern i think that is a Corsair but how the hell did that catch on fire???? im glad the pilot got out ok but with that B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L aircraft going to wast i'm Quite upset :( but at the end of the day this stuff happerns and u cant escape it.

  It's a highly modified Corsair. Wings are clipped, big motor, and monster prop.
