People screw up there diodes because they had no driver. Next laser video you make, please include how to build a driver.

If you've heard of the Mythbusters, you know they bust myths like ones including burglaries. I recall an episode where they tested a similar system. The beam was easily viewable, and was easy to circumvent. That is, unless you've set a minefield of beams criss-crossing the floor.

And no offense to KipKay, but did anyone else think product placement when they saw this episode?

there is a problem with the circuit shown on the video. the transistor over heats and fries in seconds. it is the exact same one on the video (2N3904)

I liked the video as normal, really nice; your voice seems so southing, lol. It would sure be awsome though if the siren didn't sound except it send a sound to a wireless radio or walky talkie that you could carry on yourself. Also; where are the cats? Lol; I miss them fellas, They always make your videos just right.

Nice video, but how do you turn off the siren?

Another nice piece of work, Kipkay. One question I do have, though... once the beam is broken, does the siren continuously wail until you manually disable it? I mean, it wouldn't do a whole lot of good if the siren stopped when the laser regained it's contact with the photocell.

it will cook transistor as well as fotoresistor. Ive tryed my own wiring with same items+relly and it works. But this one doesn work for sure.

What happens whent hey step off the alarm and it doesnt go off? It can go off for like 2 seconds, so you may want to work it keep going off until manually reset

the whole point, that the burgler see's the cameras/lasers, he gets scared and runs away (optimist yes)...

this not gonna work, the diode will not even last for 30 minutes due to heat. Kipkay hasnt done his research... he use crapy laser module without using heat sink or alternative.

$20 vs. hundreds of dollars for something that does the samething, and smart and simple to use. Which would you choose? Great stuff keep them coming!! 5 stars
