      ...you have to concede that golf (and golfers) are uniquely pathetic.

      In my mind, the jury is out on this one. The jackasses are ...well, jackasses. But golfers are also jackasses. Golfing belongs in Scottish pastures where grass grows and sheep graze. In the US, golf is a waste of water and petrochemicals. Not to mention land.

      9% of all water used in Pheonix, AZ goes to golf courses. I think that puts it all in perspective.

      What's with that????
      There is no human to human contact during the play.
      They have carts to drive around in during the play. The only time a motorized cart is allowed during a REAL sport is when they are carrying the guy off the field from a broken leg! And even sometimes then the man limps off.
      In golf what? maybe they'd get a sprained wrist.
