why does it need to be melted then cooled again? is it to remove air bubbles?

- Sturdy
  It is remelted again to make it denser and sturdier. If you don't remelt it the resulting gel is very powdery and weak, it will fall apart and it won't react like human flesh in weapon testing. Trust me, I've tried it without remelting it and it was terrible.

  try yo make a whole human head (not to say body) and see how much you spent in gelatine... that's expensive stuff.
  I don't know how much the original one costs but my guess is that it's cheaper.
