Amazing Hole In The World

The second, third and fourth pictures are of The Glory Hole in Lake Berryessa at the Monticello Dam, which is in Napa county California. The lake is huge and located north of Napa. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. Just went and checked it out. Nothing too spectacular to see. The images shown here are when the water level was up, possibly do too rains on March 5th 2005. I dunno, that just what google said. The image that you get from the sattelite image shows the 'glory hole' when it is above water level. Just looks like a big concrete cheerio sitting in the lake.

Either way, I would say that area is is right at the top of the 'no swim zone' list.

I just noticed I said all of the images here show the glory hole below water level. The third image does not. Before you told me that it was the same place I had no idea

they're real, one of them is the aftermath of nuclear bomb test, i've seen it before and i've seen a couple of them else where as well

are real but most of those are photoshopped.

the first image is from a diamond mine, the water running into the hole is the spillway for a dam, the same dam you see a picture off. you can actually see the spillway in the right side of the picture because the water level is low. The round hole in the reef you see is most likely "blue hole" in the barrier reef of the coast of Belize and is a natural phenomena. Several other reefs have similar holes, but the one off Belize is the most famous.
The snowcovered crater is most likely also a mine of some sort. you can see the "rings" in the terrain where they "peal off" layer after layer of topsoil/rock

the snow crater is not a hole, the picture is just taken from an angle so it looks like a hole.
