In the fall of 2005, the keel for another Essex-built schooner was laid, continuing the 350 year tradition of wooden boatbuilding in Essex, MA. The Isabella, a 38 foot long two-masted schooner would be built by Master shipbuilder Harold Burnham and a new generation of local seasoned shipwrights. This time-lapse movie documents the building of this ship. It was compiled from 15,000 still images that were taken from the East end of the Burnham shipyard during the 9 month period in which the schooner was built.
