    thats why we can beat any foreign teams in the olympics. Everyone on there teams are good players who play excellent together. Everyone on our teams are excellent players, who player decent together. The NBA teams of the 1980's and early 1990's are the best basketball teams in history. But it was nice to wacth a clip of a couple teams who still can play the team sport of basketball.

      I agree with everything else you said, and yes, it is nice to see people play the team sport, and I am NOT one of those boring america-bashers on this site and I love watching Americans play, but this comment really steamed me up because with a world ranking of 6, you clearly aren't the best of the world anymore, and even if you have the best point guard/centre in the world (at the time, probably Kobe and Shaq) it doesn't count for anything when they are on trial for rape, too concerned with getting injuries and spoiling their multi-million dollar contracts or claiming to be scared of terrorists.

      Yes, your players are tall, jump high and do a lot of impressive shouting and waving of the arms, and the past teams have been excellent to watch in terms of amazing dunks and rejections, but its time to wake up and smell the caffeine.

      I'm sure when the time comes the results will speak for themselves. I wish america the best of luck with their next chance to prove themselves, but they have for now lost their rights to brag and should seriously consider sending a team that really represents their nation's ability to play ball.

      i did mean to type "can't" and not the word "can".. sorry for the typo, i didn't even notice it until now. but yeah i meant we can nol longer beat the foreign teams (meaning just about any country in the olympic basketball events) because we no longer put a team on the floor we just play a bunch of great individuals, and not to take anything from them, but an individual is all they are, the US would have a better chance just putting the Detroit Pistons starting five out there instead of a bunch of all-stars. If you get a chance to watch a pistons games they are the propbably the closest thing that resembles the great NBA teams of the 1980's and early1990's when American teams were "teams." And then on a side note i am very anxious to see the world cup because from what o have seen it looks like Brasil might have dream team. Not only to they have a couple of big names like Rhonoldodino (excuse my spelling) but they have a lot of quiet guys who i never heard of but from little clips and sports articles sound like they will be solid players. but this is kinda huge side note that came to my head from dream team comment and i am in soccer mood now because the world cup is coming up. but hey i appreciate your comment and it is nice to see people who when they may disagree completely can still state their opinion with out being offensive of a jerk. so thanks again. maybe in the future the US will realize that we need to switch back to having a team of great teammates instead of great players.

      I agree, the pistons are a great bunch of teammates, but clearly DWade and Shaq with the heat rule their asses. Plus all of the pistons are complete assholes, always trying to be 'gangsta'.

      I also agree, its nice to have a calm discussion where everyone is civil and knows how to spell. intellect wins every time if you ask me
