Do you know that all the dancer in this video are deaf and dumb ? And some of the dancers are men . They are excellent. They are chinese!

When they say deaf and " DUMB" it means they cannot talk..

Here in the US we just use the term Deaf. Dumb and mute are really unnecessary and not even technically accurate unless the person has a lack of, or damaged vocal cords and simply cannot produce vocal sound. :) Hope this helps.

Yes the girl or girls are deaf. They are not dumb or blind. Give them all credit for such a wonderful proformance
While there is such a thing as "legally blind" there is on legally deaf, but they all identify as deaf. :)

The video is great, but I have been told it was made in one country as i heard two other claim it as well,
so my thinking its chinese as the girl in the front looks chinese, but people tell me its from Thailand and another tells me india...ooohhh gives u headache but video cures it lol again I believe its chinese, the music is surely chinese.

The thing that I found the most impressive was the girl up front. She doesnt have any cues to go off of. She has to listen to the music for cues, or count, or heck if I know how she always got the timing perfect. Must have takin LOTS of preperation to pull that off. 5*s
Lots of practice, E-Z Tweaks. All the girls in this performance are deaf, so the lead girl obviously couldn't take cues from the music, but rather individuals nearby. I quote from the original post here on Metacafe:

It's called syncronizing, Doll! I've worked with the Deaf for almost 20 yrs. They are more visually tuned in than most people. Also, it depends on their level of deafness. Some may have audio recall of rythmn. At the very least, they can feel the vibs!

One time, the music went off while these girls were performing. No one noticed as all of them are deaf. They went on to complete their performance with stunning precision, in absolute silence!!
They've done a lot to get to where they are... to entertain the rest of us. They deserve much credit for their hardwork... considering all odds.

it's a nice video isn't it? i know it's a show on china's Spring Festival Gala Evening several years ago it's really moving us since all of them are deafs. Someone on singleparentdate com introduce it to us and we really like it and the chinese gals really did great!
