RS4 Vs M3

i saw a video where they were comparing the time it took for moto and for f1 to lap the same track. the f1 cars pretty much slaughtered the moto competition.

I know how fast it is and I know how fast the RS4 is. There's just no comparison.

it doesnt matter from what gear or place they start so ur talking bullshit about bmw being lighter cause if it was true why didnt it win and i bet you dont even now how much it weighs

the m3 is lighter but less powered and less torque than an s4! Usually lighter cars do better at the beginning. I drive an m3 and I've raced my buddys s4 and in the first 3 gears I can take him on dry pavement (he has an automatic gearbox). Im sure the rs4 would smoke a stock e46 all the way through, (no wheel spin either)

this tell me you know nothing about Audi and BWM.... first of all they both a nice car, however, if you start from neutral or how ever you want to start it, that RS4 will walk all over the M3. now if you run into S4 with bigger turbo upgrade with stage 3 kit, I will R**e that M3 all day long

Don't talk like that!!! You never wanna race if you see a M3 CSL on your way. In fact with RS4 you just drive 20 so the M3 doesn't get mad at u or u can read it as "notice u" .....

what about if you put the same stuff on M3... it wont let Audi even to see its a§§ from mileas away...

two different engine, M3 is N/A, b5 S4 had twin turbo. M3 can have supper charge put in and may... I say may able to keep up with a well tune Stage 3 S4

The BMW is much faster then the AUDI end of story, u probably havnt driven both of them so u wouldnt know. But i will tell you that an AUDI takes forever to get up to speed and according to our man from Top Gear, it weighs more then the moon (and i believe it). The BMW is much faster end of story....

First of all do you have luxury drive any of them for that matter?. Do you know any thing about BMW or Audi ? or you just heard people talk about M3 is fast and you think it is fast.

Here let me break it to you

Stock form

M3 E46 chasis got 333 horse power which is the one on the video.
S4 B5 chasis got 250 Horse power.
RS4 B5 chasis got 380 horse power which is the one in the video.

now the S4 with chip exhause will have some where 320-350 horse power depend if the chip is APR, AMS/ABT, MTM or GIAC X chip, never mind about the stage 3. the S4 will slightly beat the mod M3 with exhaust and chip, the reason why M3 don't gain that much with chip due to N/A engine. if they both mod a at the mention above, it can come down to a driver as well. FYI, some of my friend had SMG and 6 speed BMW M3, one of the six speed had exhaust, chip, header, and he can not take my car on the highway, from dead stop I left him in the hole, my car had just chip exhaust. When I put in a race gase, I started to walk on him, and oh yeah I drove his car and he drove my.... so don't tell people what you don't know.

as for Stage 3 s4 it will pump out about 400 horse and can go as high as 500 horse power depend on the tunner. So at that power, it will R**e the M3 left and right, the only thing M3 maybe able to keep up is getting supper charge.

the video show that RS4 and M3, however your top gear guys only compare stock to stock and stock RS4 still beat the M3. do you see any where I say stock S4 with biturbo witll beat M3 ? I said stage 3 biturbo will R**e the M3, so get it right.....BTW if you are taking about new S4 B6 or B7 chasis, then that had V8....do your research before tell poeple what you don't know

Who said anything about top gear? Yes i watch the show, but i dont get all of my information from it, You said a lot but u said nothing if you know what i mean, m3 would win from a dead start end of story, i know cause i have witnessed the same exact race on a drag strip, and i used to test drive cars for a T.V. Show in New Jersey, now im a police officer. The T.V. Show in New Jersey was no where near as good as Top Gear or Fifth Gear, but we got the job done, and ill tell you this, the M3 is amazing from a dead start, end of story dont post again untill you have road tested both cars and witnessed a few races between the two aforementioned cars.

I make it clearly that there are few of my friend had M3 and I am one of of the people own two S4. so what make you think that I was talking bluff ? do you really actually witness a real street race with the S4 and M3 from dead stop ? you say you are in NJ, I tell you what ? I had test and drove both car, I used to have M3 too.... so it you think M3 will win with stage 3 S4, why don't you put the money where your mouth is ? I will set you up at the track and see who is the winner... and by the way you did mention on your original post about 5 gear...read what you type....this is what you mention

The m3 is lighter, correct. But the rs4 has four-wheel drive and a turbocharger to get i moving..! (btw. the m3 we are talking about is not an csl, its a standard m3)

that is a B5 Audi RS4 model, it got only 380 ponies, the new one with a V8 will have 420. it will be interesting to see a new M3 V8 again the new RS4 V8

so the RS has more HP.. are you suggesting that power is the only factor to taker into account when judging how fast a car is?

my 75hp 1200lbs honda crx can out run a 3000lb 300hp mustang. Cool, I always thought horse power mattered.

apart from the gearbox, you should count how many lbs need to be moved by 1 single pony.
so honda: is 1200/75=16 lbs/bhp
mustang: 3000/300=10 lbs/bhp.
Summa summarum: dear americanjock30 please stop writing silly and untrue comments.

natürlich.. wenn du nämlich bei BMW arbeitest und was anderes sagst, wie z.B. mercedes amg V8 Kompressor mit leckeren 700Nm.. wäre das ein kündigungsgrund ;-)

Its Germany bddy cant you see son and the road quality? A land where there is no limit on motor way (Auto Bahn). Though I think it is a Bundes Bahn means public way. But speeding cars you can only find on German roads.
