for the 2006 season Formula 1 engines are only in V8 2.4 L. wich they can still produce 750HP to 800Hp on 20000 rpm , for the WRC rally cars the engine is 4 Cyl. 2.0 L. producing 300HP , any team that violates these rules , will be disqualified . each WRC car can cost $700000 up to $1million , each Formula 1 car can cost $1 million up to $1.4 million .

900hp is a lot easier without using bolt ons. It shows the true muscle of the car, and the true ability of mechanic. Summitt Racing.com Yea you can chip your car, i'd rather see something like a Massive Rear end differential, altering the gear ratios to fit the engines specificities, blow your engine, remember the more air the more power, the more fuel igniting the more power. Horsepower isn't everything though, torque is what gets you off the line quicker. Try a performance tranny/clutch and so on. Be sure to remember while building, that every 100lbs takes off 1/10th seconds from your 1/4 time. (Meaning don't go throwing in massive sub system and expect to be running 10s) Also, the stye of engine is a big must. Some engines like the 281(4.6L) ford v8, is a wonderful engine. Just adding cams makes it nasty as all hell, let alone anything else. Take your que from the Corvette. The baddest meanest naturally aspired push rod engine on the road. No turbo super Nitrous all good ol fashioned ozone ripping american muscle.

You can't run on nitrous... Nitrous isn't a fuel, it is an oxidizer. Top Fuel drag cars run on 85% nitromethane and 15% methanol.

ok dumbass, they veyron "officially" runs ONE W16 engine, NOT TWO V8s.
It takes alot more than just turbos and an intercooler to get a skyline to 1khp. By the way, talking about skylines is like a big red flag for ricer F*g that doesn't really know anything about cars...

And yeah, like crazy said, you can't run on pure nitrous.
You're wrong about how nitrous works though. It actually splits at high temperature into it's separate molecules of nitrogen and oxygen. The combustion heats the n2o and releases more oxygen causing the combustion to have a longer power producing stroke.
The cooling effect DOES come into play, but it's a side effect and not the main function. n2o isn't flammable itself, but it CAN explode when atomized with a mixture of fuel and air, so technically an explosion of nitrous is very possible.

Nitrous behaves similar to pure oxygen, both gases arent flamable by themselves but they "supercharge" everything else thats flamable.

The W16 engine is actually 4 VW VR6's its 2 W8's on one crank... and the W8 is 2 Narrow angle 4 cyl. creating a 45Degree engine with less gap and restriciton therefore making more space. enabling the engine to create more horsepower and use less space... and the W16 is pretty big. dotn get me wrong.

nitrous does nothing more then cool the incomming air or air in the cylinder to make it more dense there fore more O2 or oxygen allowing you to introduce more fuel . more air more fuel = more power. just like in the fast and the furious when that gay ass eclipse gets shot up by the chinks and they scream NOS and then boob. yeah nitrous isnt flammable! but great to inhale :) does the opposite of helium.... makes ur voice super deep lmfao

Crazybritt - Nitrous, ktm pointed breaksdown at high temperatures to form N2 and O, two lots of N20 breakdown to give 2x N2 and 2x O, the 2x O combine to give 02, it is the O2 in "air" that is needed by the engine for the combustion process, so giving the engine pure O2 = more power.

Nitrous is great fun to inhale, but not the stuff designed for automotive use as it has chemicals added specifically to make it unpleasant to do so,
get hold of some dairy N2O and inhale that, its the same stuff, only untampered.. don't know about the voice deepening, but it is trippy as S**t , causing auditory distortions

N2O is also known as laughing gas, the dissociative anaesthetic used in hospitals

It's possible that it has 1600 hp. Extremely unlikely, but the Veyron is not the most powerful car in existence - there are many tuned and non-tuned cars with 1000 or over hp, but 1600 is the most I've ever heard. Unlikely, but not impossible.

Don't talk about stuff you have no idea about. The Veyron is the highest horsepower car in a PRODUCTION vehicle. There are 1200hp streetcars running around on turbos all over the place.
I would say that that car probably does not have 1600hp, although it probably is pretty high, and spray can reallty put down some high numbers as well.
