Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Caleb Flippin describes his first rescue while performing search and rescue operations in Missouri after storms flooded areas near the Missouri and Mississippi rivers here Wednesday, March 18, 2008.
The state of Missouri requested assistance from the Coast Guard, as a result two HH-65 rescue helicopters and three helicopter crews as well as several Disaster Area Response Teams (DARTs) were sent to the area to assist in rescue operations.
