The "Rubbish" Video

...that people don't expect.

The method I show here is not intuitive...which is what makes it interesting.

But seriously, if you bet someone that they couldn't balance the wood and the table like that, and you let them have a hammer to do it with, they would just put the hammer on the end of the wood, wouldn't they?? And then you would lose the bet.

So whats the point??

That's not what I'm saying in the video at all (why would I say "show me the money" after I successfully balanced it?)

Why would I bet them they couldn't do it? I know it can be done...I would bet them that I could do it (and they would bet I couldn't)

And I think most people would agree that laying a hammer on one end wouldn't qualify as "balancing" any more than hammering a nail into the end of the wood to keep it in place is "balancing"

Perhaps we'll have to agree to disagree on how "interesting" this is. Over 10,000 views and an average rating >3.4 indicates it is of interest :)

Except the last one maybe. Over 10,000 views just means that you made it sound interesting in the title, and the other comments are titled things like "crap" and "rubbish". I think that gives a better idea of the interesting level of the video

Say what ever you want about the stats...at least I have stats because I actually make and submit videos...more than you can say.

Nevertheless, you and the other people that post with titles like "crap" and "rubbish" are doing exactly what you accuse me of...using a title to draw interest. In your case, it is to draw interest to the fact that you like to criticize videos (as evident by the comments on your channel as well as comments you've posted on other peoples' videos...you like to drop lame comments on peoples' videos and call them names)

Part of your argument was that it would be pointless betting that people couldn't do it, but you should bet that you could. Is there really much difference??

And you're kinda missing the point of me and other people commenting on your video. We're saying its "crap" and "rubbish" because thats what it is. If your so easily offended by people posting comments that don't flatter your ego, either stop posting videos at all, or just stop posting rubbish ones.

Yes, there's a huge difference in you betting someone else CAN'T do something versus you betting you CAN do something. If you can't understand that difference, it's clear you need to go ask someone to help you understand.

I'm not offended that you and a few other people don't like my video...you and everyone else are entitled to an opinion.

I'll post any videos I please much in the same way you choose to post comments on peoples' videos...and I'll respond to comments that are left with questions in them.

At the start it says "can you balance this stick on its end" its not really on its end now is it.
Then it says "With a hammer and no nails, that's impossible isn't it? Time to bet money" OK bets placed, I bet you a fiver you can't do it. OOOHHH Hold on, we now need some string, that wasn't in the bet. What a load of croc!

The video was originally just made to show a physics principle and not really as a bet....that part was a last minute thought that should have been more clear.
