I was in my apartment kicking back with a friend on Thursday, March 20th in San Jose, California. All of a sudden there were about 5 fire trucks outside my building and they were quickly rolling out their hoses. Anytime you see the hoses come out that quickly, you know it's serious. So, I rushed outside to see that one of the buildings in my apartment complex was on fire.

Apparently a kid was smoking and the cigarette caught his balcony on fire. The kid was taking a nap and was awoken by someone banging on his door.

He's very lucky he got out. He had some burn marks on his shirt and face, but nothing serious.

I even got a short interview from him explaining what happened about 1 minute into the video. This is pretty good footage of a fire and the fire department at work putting it out.
