How to Make Fire Balls Really Cool

not use the lighter fuel? can u just make the ball tie it in string and set it on light?

why do you need to thread it? is it just to hold it together or does it effect this expirement?please reply. cool vid though

i cant hold it more than 3 second.. it hot hot..

i tried it, it works, i sudgest using blue cotton shirt though that matches the blue color of the butt of the fire to make it look even more of a fireball

i didnt have lighter fluid so i used kerosene lamp oil.

that stuff burns WAY hotter than lighter fluid does, but it was still tolerable, couldn't hold the ball for more than 3 seconds and the fabric started to burn up after about 5 minutes of flame time. so lighter fluid:
1) burns at a cooler temperature (doesn't burn you as badly, or as quickly)
2) since it burns at a cooler temperature the fabric doesn't burn as fast, or at all if you keep it well soaked in lighter fluid.
3) doesn't produce as much of a foul odor as kerosene does


hope this helps, oh yeah and DO THIS OUTSIDE. you can and probably will burn yourself or scare yourself when you first start playing with it.

ps. KEEP THE FIREBALL AWAY FROM THE ACCELERANT!

hold the fireballs for more than like 3 seconds before it got to hot to hold. I even used Ronsonol lighter fluid that I would normally use in my zippo lighter. I also used a cloth that was 100% cotton, and then tied it up using a cotton/polyester string. Could the polyester in the string be what is causing it to heat up to much for me to hold? can n e one tell me?

i did this and it was awesome but it burned my hands so i couldn't hold it for more than a few seconds

Does the ball burn or hurt your hand when you hold it?

what kind of lighter fuel is that?
cause there is fuels in gas form and then there is the oned that are
partley gasoline and the alcohol type to..
so what kind??
