after long investigations , it turned out that he was alone in the Ferrari , when he hit the pole he was going 162 mph , he lied about him beeing just a passenger and not the driver , but he was the driver , he is swedish living here in CA , the car turned out to be stolen from England , it was rented and registered as a show car , and not drivable under any conditions , 1 month later his wife was pulled over in Beverly Hills , driving her Mercedes McLaren SLR , that car turned out to be stolen from England too , when they searched his home , they found a second Ferrari Enzo black color , guess what , yes , a stolen one too , he's in jail now , his bond is for $3 M. i don't know what else they gonna found stolen . 2 Ferrari Enzo = $ 2M , 1 Mercedes McLaren SLR = $600.000 .

The passenger had blood on him/her mouth but only the driver's airbag had blood on it..? I can think of only one possibility... hehe

Gizmondo, a subsidiary of Swedish company Tiger Telematics (no relation to Tiger Toys, the maker of those little handheld LCD games), was always a bit of an oddball company. From the strange name, which was used for their PSP-like portable gaming device, to their strange marketing ideas, to the discovery that many Gizmondo executives had Mafia backgrounds, the company was unusual right from the start.

Unlike some shady firms (ahem Phantom ahem) Gizmondo did manage to ship a limited supply of its product, at least in the UK, but massive debts of up to US$300 million caused Tiger Telematics to fold in January of this year. The story didn't end there, however, as former Gizmondo executive Stefan Eriksson took off with a bunch of exotic automobiles, destroying one of them, a limited edition Ferrari Enzo, in a high speed crash in February. He was arrested on charges of grand theft auto (the crime, not the video game) earlier this month.

Now, another exec, Carl Freer, has been arrested (subscription required) on charges of illegally obtaining a firearm. Freer, along with Eriksson, were members of the "anti-terrorism unit" of the San Gabriel Valley Transit Authority, a small private company that provides rides to disabled people and the elderly in Monrovia and Sierra Madre. Freer, much like Dwight Schroot in the US version of The Office, was a voluntary deputy of this strange organization and as such owned a badge that declared this fact. The problem was that he allegedly attempted to use this badge to obtain multiple firearms without the mandatory background checks.

Los Angeles County County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said that officials now believe Freer used the badge to buy one weapon and in at least one case, signed a sworn document saying he was a police officer. Neither Freer nor Eriksson should have been allowed to purchase guns in the U.S. because they are foreign nationals, Whitmore said.

The swede Stefan Eriksson, eller «Tjock-Steffe» who drove the Enzo had stolen it. he was racing a mercedes slk at abt 260km/h when he crashed it.
Stefan was also the leader for the computergame company Gizmondo.
Only damage to the driver was a cut on the lip.
He was also under the influence of alcohol 0,9‰.

Dang. That S**ks for the guys they stole it from. Not only can they not pay them back (because there's no way they have enough money) and you can't replace that car either. Its a limited edition, and they've all been sold. I say lock up the guy that stole it and throw away the key

Some people don't know what they're talking about on here. This was Stefan Erikkson's but he didn't steal it. Plus there was someone in the car with him, but both escaped and Erikkson only had a bloody lip. Yes they were racing a Mercedes SLR, and an eyewitness said that they saw the Enzo fly into the air, causing it to crash.

The enzo was racing a slr at the time. The slr backed off because it couldnt beat such a fast car like the enzo. the driver lost controll at 162 MPH and went on the grass at the side of the road. The car was launched into the air and hit a lamp post side on at 160MPH. The only reason the people inside wornt hurt is because it hit the post in the middle of the engine and the passanger compartment. Thats also y the car was torn in 2.
