  • Whats with the Euro-American war goin on...

    Im an american, i only watch european and south american football (EPL=awesome), and no american can say American football is better (MLS=Amateur), but americans are getting better, just as other european and south americans are becoming better at basketball (i.e Argentina winning olympics), So everyones improving and by doing this the competition will only get better, so instead of ripping on other countries just root for ur own team to get better and give them a beating, the day i see americans with skills like Henry and Ronaldhino ill watch them, and the day i see europeans with skills like Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash, ill watch european basketball. UNTIL THEN i can only hope the US team gets better.

      The was inhere is prolly coz alotta americans wail on soccer in the boards, so europeans get bitchty too. But thankfully (no pun intended) it'll take a long time for US players to reach the same level as european and south-americans. Its like... Our players are bred. I'm danish and we have a legendary soccer family called the Laudrups. Micheal Laudrup played for both Real Madrid and Barcelona, ripped it completely, but the funny thing is. His father was a great soccer player too. And his brother played toplevel eu soccer too. And his kids are starting to come along now, his oldest son just played his first match in the best danish league (which still sux, but we do have a couple of decent teams.).
      It takes several generations of humanbeings growing up with a soccerball at their feet, to get to where Ronaldinho or Henry is. Many, many, many years. But in all fairness the US team is getting better and you played a decent world cup (unlike the danish team who didnt even bother to qualify (no good, twobit, lousy slackers.)). so congrats on that, and good to see some americans opening their eyes to soccer!

    i live in america and i play real football. i agree about american football not being a real sport. they have oxygen maks on the sidelines, they stop every six seconds, they celebrate after everything they do, they have timeouts, they are covered head to toe in pads, they have commercial breaks, and you do not have to be in any sort of physical condition to play american football.
