    that elephant paints better than i can. i hope there treated well and this isnt the result of some cruel money grubbing trainer. i hate to see animals in captivity. though this is amazing and maybe some kind of proof that we should rethink our veiws towards animals and how we treat them. ps dont support zoos or circuses.

    • Well Taken Care of Elephant

      Wanted to let you know that Hong is very, very well taken care of. She and her Mahout (caretaker) have a very close bond and spend practically 24/7 together. She takes baths in the river a couple times a day, gives herself showers with a hose, eats all day and gets fed LOTS of bannanas and sugar cane. In fact, so much when we were there....she started painting plumper elephants after we left. She lives in a beautiful part of Thailand.

    but then i pity those animals who are forced to use their trunk to paint... after so much beating and torture they have perfected the art of painting. these are elephants, they are not meant to paint.not bombarding the uploader as he dont train them.. but take a sec to think the next time u see an elephant or a monkey doing stunt with his neck chained

      usually are detached and scarred so they dont get any stimulation anymore. him painting isnt good or bad, but the people training him are doing a good thing because they are stimulating his brain and the treats (which im sure they use because thats the easiest and best way to train animals) given to him help build trust and enable this animal to socialize again even if its with humans. so dont pity those animals, pity urself for being ignorant and not seeing the situation in whole, kthnxbye
